Galaxy purses !

Cosmic joy.

I've been meaning to try this for a while, and had the frames ready, but after making the Galaxy dress a while back for Beki, I had some bits of fabric left after cutting out the pattern, and thought these would make great purses! Really happy with the result, the print is captured so well in this format!
So, I made some nebula print purses ! The pictures below are the same purse, back and front views. Something I love about this fabric is the colours. The reds and blues and purples all swirling together to create this lovely print! It could be a great purse, or maybe a glasses case, pencil case!
The purse is for sale on my Etsy page here !

Here's a little snap of the inside with Cyanide Kiss label:

Whilst I was making the Galaxy purse, I also made a handbag and a mini purse from the extra fabric for a friend's birthday, much different to my usual style as it wasn't for Cyanide Kiss, but a present, but I think it will be her cup of tea!

Unicorns, Kittys, and Ponies!

Well, I took a little time out to get married, and swan off on honeymoon for a couple of weeks, but now I'm back with lots of fresh new ideas and styles ready to launch soon!!
But until then, here's a few shots from a great couple of shoots I did recently with the lovely ladies from Moda Alt management

The shoot was split into two sections, with a studio shoot of the new Pony dress, and an outdoor shoot featuring the Hello Kitty dress and Unicorn dress! The team for both shoots consisted of:

Jas Stephenson
- photographer
Amphetamin -modelling
Saph - retouching

With two great make up artists working with us to perfect the images .On the pony dress shoot (above and below) we had the fantasticly talented Daneka Dunne who also did an amazing job of my bridal make up, you should all check out her page if you're looking for a make up artist! We've worked together on a few shoots now always with gorgeous results!

And for the outdoor shots, Ailsa Caldwell did a great job..check out those eyes! (below)
Great to work with Ailsa for the first time.

If you're wondering where to find the fantastic bow and crown we used on the next few shots, be sure to check out Janine Basil's etsy shop here

Hello shiny new blog!

Why hello shiny new blog =)
I'll be using this for updates on Cyanide Kiss, a new venture, a clothing company inspired by retro, 50's and lolita styles! Well, here goes my first post!!
We've been pretty busy here at Cyanide Kiss getting together our first collection, and finally gotten round to starting to promote it recently on .facebook , twitter and etsy !! Get us bookmarked/liked for updates!! So, what's been happening at Cyanide Kiss??

Last week, I was contacted by the lovely Rebecca, owner of events planning company Polka Dots and Pearls a company set up by newly wed with a love for all things retro! She was planning a pin up and rock the frock style photoshoot and asked it Cyanide Kiss would like to be involved. I loved the sounds of the shoot, and we met up with Nomnom photography to shoot some dresses. Starting out with her own wedding dress and a bridesmaid dress, and finishing with some of my designs.
Here's one of her bridesmaids dresses:

And a gorgeous shot of a fifties style wedding dress:

Polka Dots and Pearls is a really great concept, they can arrange anything from VW camper vans to vintage cakes, everything to give your wedding that vintage inspired theme! She also offers pin up style photoshoots, engagement shoots and 'trash/rock the dress' shoots, candy buffets, photobooth prop hire and vintage style tea parties!! What more could any vintage style wedding need! =)

With vintage style weddings are getting ever more popular with blogs such as rock n roll bride and offbeat bride providing some real interesting alternatives to the traditional meringue dress and church wedding, what better time to check out what she has to offer for your own wedding.
I really enjoyed the shoot, and we got some really great results. It was nice to get some shots of the dresses and to meet Polka Dots and Pearls and NomNom photography !
And finally, to finish the post, here's one of the shots of my dresses taken in NomNom's studio, which you can see up for sale on Cyanide Kiss's Etsy page
